It was a great weekend camp down at Shegardanou Scout Camp near Woodstock! It was great to see all the Scouts gelling and working well as a team.
All us leaders were definitely proud to watch the two patrols team together for the tug-of-war competition. They were involved in two of the longest, toughest competitions of the event. Way to go guys! You did us proud.
Other highlights for the weekend were the activities - fire lighting (with the added bonus of cooking for & feeding your leaders!); table lashing; weaving a mattress of straw; barrel roll; semaphore and more. We had fun at the campfire ("Sarah - Pull yourself together!") and the food was awesome!
You Scouts also did us proud witht he one trip in to our site Friday night & one trip out to the vehicles Sunday using our luggage cart. Didn't it feel great having other Troops & leaders watching us & commenting on what a great idea we had? That cart will sure come in handy at CJ'07 this year when we have farther to trek. And you all worked together as a team to get the cart up the long, steep hill Sunday morning...
Well, see y'aal next time....
Attached are some photos from the camp - Enjoy!
